Short play

2008/6/9 this was the day we perform our “Short play”. I will never forget it because it was really fantastic!!!!!!! As to the “Big play” this year played by seniors was “Grease”. There is only one word can describe it properly-” Excellent!” On the contrary, the “Short play” was more or less simple which makes it looks like a farce! But still, it was really really interesting to produce our own “Short play”.

The “Short play” is one of the most important events to freshmen. We wrote the scrim and prepared all the stage property by ourselves. The name of our play was “Window into the irreversible”. We had rehearsal for more than six times. The story told about how the manikins dreamed to enter humans’ life and how they experience their days in the real world. To their disappointment, they only saw the good side of being a human in their window for people all walked by with a big smile. But as soon as they became human they discovered that the world didn’t seem as peaceful and joyful as their origin thought. The dark side of being a human let the manikins friendship broke into pieces. They then wished to go back to their boring but harmony window life again.
