A trip to Kenting?

Last weekend, I visited Kenting with the club, astronomical observations club, in our school. About 16 people went there with scooters. Crazy? Riding scooter from Kaoshung to Kenting under hot and humid weather? For me, I was totally exhausted when I arrived. There's one thing for sure, that is, I will definitely not go to Kenting with scooter anymore!!

As night came and stars supposed should appear, too but unfortunately the cloud was too heavy only one to three stars could be seen. Thus, we had to wait until midnight. We chatted and chatted.......

It is the season of cicadas. The cicadas buzzed in the heat of the day also the cooling of night. Their lives only exist for a short period. They died but left new lives. Their appear represent that summer has already came.

When I decided to have a "night trip" I asked two of my friends to accompany me. Near the place where we camped situated a small and bright police station and nothing else. Far from the urban, this police station located in the quite countryside. As we walked across the police station, a policeman strolled out and stand in front of us with a puzzled look. He might be wondering that how come we gels strolling around in midnight. We were asked to have a cup of tea. That was really fantastic to get so close to the policeman although my father is a policeman, too. Talking to the policeman was really interesting; later on two of our friend joined us. The policeman treated as with dessert and some fruits. Sipping the Chinese tea, we along with the policeman chatted a lot. The atmosphere was harmonious.

The sudden burst of the cicadas made the night even more tranquil.

Nowadays it seems only countryside can provide a sense of peace…..live under the heavy pressure of the society made me want to become a hermit sometimes. Fame, success, study for some purpose always make me can hardly breath. Am I too weak? I don’t think so. I was just couldn’t stand some “dark side” of this society.
