Today I had a “small” car accident on my way to school. Since I was almost late for an important address I agreed to my friend for a ride. In fact I was just about to refuse my classmate's suggest for a ride as I walked back to my dome to get my scooter key but because of impatient I was reluctant to wait the elevator. I should follow my intuition anyway. We, my two classmates and I ride on the same scooter. We were all in a rush for being late for class.
All of a sudden, my classmate, the rider, hit one of the side scooters heavily in the parking log. The sound came more quickly than the hurt. I was then aware that I bumped into it. It was really really hurt. The scooter that we hit was parking in the wrong place actually in the center of the street! Thus an accident happened. I got three big bruises on my leg and also a 13 cm long abrasion. Then I suggested that I can “fix” my wounds by my own and my classmates should attend the class. As I walked back to my dome, I couldn’t stand the pain on my poor leg. Was I to stubborn for their company and chose to walk back along? I was just thought that I could handle it. How terrible as I saw my leg was bleeding. Anyway, I washed the wounds and put some ointment on them and I nearly scream out but one of my roommates was still sleeping. So I endured the pain without any voice. I gritted my teeth against the pain.
Later on, the rider came to my room with a very sorry look. She worried about me very much which eased my pain a little. But things sometimes will happen without any warning. I won’t blame her but myself ……why I always overslept for classes. This accident was surely preventable. Accidents are always unexpected but preventable. Who knows…..people always just can’t remember the lesson from the experience.
